Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer – Civil to lead and manage civil and structural engineering activities for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and industrial projects.

The candidate should have strong experience in civil and structural design, foundation design, RCC and steel structures, and should be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead civil and structural engineering design activities for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Design and review RCC and steel structures for industrial facilities.

Design foundations for equipment such as vessels, pumps, tanks, and other industrial equipment.

Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and engineering documents.

Perform structural analysis and 3D modelling using STAAD Pro.

Prepare and review design spreadsheets and engineering calculations.

Check and approve civil/structural drawings, calculations, and technical documents.

Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines.

Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, specifications, and regulations.

Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex civil and structural engineering issues.





Stay updated with modern civil/structural engineering practices and apply suitable design methodologies.

Support project execution by providing technical inputs and resolving design-related issues.

Lead, guide, and mentor Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Principal Engineers.

Ensure timely completion and quality of engineering deliverables.

Required Technical Skills

Strong experience in Civil & Structural Design.

Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Hydrocarbon / EPC projects.

Good knowledge of RCC and structural steel design.

Experience in equipment foundation design.

Hands-on experience with STAAD Pro for structural analysis and modelling.

Ability to understand and review engineering drawings and structural calculations.

Good knowledge of relevant civil/structural codes, standards, and project specifications.

Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines.

Software Skills

STAAD Pro – Mandatory

MS Office – Good working knowledge

Candidate Profile

15–20 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural Engineering.

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.

Experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbon Consulting, Petrochemical, or EPC Design Engineering.

Strong leadership and team-management skills.

Valuable English communication skills – written and spoken.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Proven experience in managing and guiding engineering teams.
