The position is with Mutual Fund company and they are looking for Chief Compliance Officer

Location Mumbai

Responsibilities

As the Chief Compliance Officer, build a team, culture and compliance framework for the Mutual Funds business.

- Be the subject matter expert on everything that is about SEBI Regulations and business /governance practice
- Interact closely with the CEO, Business Heads of AMC to build a functional and compliant operation.
- Interact closely with the Directors, develop comprehensive compliance program for the business, train the staff and keep the framework robust. • Work with the Trustees to meet their expectations on AMCs conduct • Partner with the Risk and Business Teams to ensure that Internal Audits and Certifications as required by SEBI and BoD is completed in time bound manner including the coordination of ATRs and closures.




- Work with the Group Compliance & Risk Teams to ensure that group level policies are implemented seamlessly
- Set up and automate regulatory reporting and interact with SEBI on matter that requires regulatory engagement

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOURAL TRAITS

- Ability to build teams and mentor business
- Demonstrates leadership and ownership for all tasks at hand
- Demonstrates independence
- Ability to articulate and reason.
- Knowledge of Companies Act compliances and corporate governance matters concerning an AMC (desirable but not compulsory)
