Role Description The Chief Engineer at Pride Hotels Group in Indore is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel. This full-time, on-site role includes managing preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems, equipment, and utilities to ensure safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.

The Chief

Engineer leads and supervises the engineering team, coordinates daily maintenance tasks, and works closely with other departments to support seamless hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; managing vendor relationships; ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards; and planning for upgrades, repairs, and capital projects. The role also involves maintaining documentation,



budgeting for maintenance activities, and implementing best practices to minimize downtime and optimize asset life.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge in hotel engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, and preventive maintenance planning within hospitality or similar industries.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and supervise engineering teams, with effective delegation and performance management skills.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, fire protection systems, and compliance with local building and statutory codes.
- Skills in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management for maintenance and capital projects.
- Capability to diagnose technical issues, implement solutions, and coordinate with external contractors when required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and other hotel teams.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications in engineering or facilities management are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior engineering role in hotels or large commercial properties is highly preferred.
