About the Role
VK Packwell is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial organization.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in GST, taxation, financial reporting, working capital management, banking operations, inventory accounting, statutory compliance, and financial analysis.
The candidate will be responsible for independently managing key finance and taxation functions while supporting management with accurate financial insights and business-oriented decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Monitor financial performance, profitability, working capital, and cash flow.
- Analyze key financial ratios such as DSCR, Interest Coverage Ratio, Debtor Turnover Ratio, and Inventory Holding Period.
- Monitor the Cash Conversion Cycle and identify opportunities for improving liquidity and cash flow.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management decision-making.
1. GST, Taxation & Transfer Pricing
- Independently manage GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC reconciliation, and related filings.
- Reconcile purchase records with GSTR-2B and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure correct eligibility and availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Handle GST implications and documentation related to job work transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax provisions, including Section 194R.
- Handle Transfer Pricing matters, including Specified Domestic Transactions (SDT) and Associated Enterprise transactions.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities wherever required.
- Support tax audits, assessments, notices, and other statutory tax-related matters.
1. Accounts & Manufacturing Finance
- Ensure accurate accounting of purchases, sales, expenses, and financial transactions.
- Oversee inventory accounting and valuation as per applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other inventory.
- Evaluate slow-moving and obsolete inventory and assess Net Realisable Value (NRV).
- Monitor stock reconciliation and strengthen inventory controls.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and maintenance of accounting records.
- Develop strong understanding of manufacturing costing and production-related accounting.
1. Banking & Working Capital Management
- Prepare and review stock statements submitted to banks.
- Calculate Drawing Power (DP) and monitor fund-based working capital limits.
- Coordinate with banks regarding financial statements, stock statements, and funding requirements.
- Monitor receivables, payables, cash flow, and liquidity.
- Support banking documentation, working capital assessments, and financial requirements.
1. Corporate Finance & Statutory Compliance
- Handle financial due diligence and statutory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Understand capital market documentation, including Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP).
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist management in financial planning, risk assessment, and business decisions.

Candidate Eligibility
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Manufacturing/Industrial industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with strong hands-on experience in GST, Taxation, Transfer Pricing, Working Capital, Banking, and Manufacturing Accounts will be preferred.
- Should be capable of independently handling finance, accounts, taxation, compliance, and coordination with external stakeholders.
