Company Description
Deal Network is an AI-powered deal-sourcing platform connecting Chartered Accountants, investment bankers, investors and lenders. Through conversations on WhatsApp, our AI assistant understands professionals, the businesses they know, and what transactions/deals they’re working on, and then identifies relevant counterparties and facilitates introductions when both sides agree.
Our ambition is to democratise investment banking by expanding the professional networks that make transactions possible. We help CAs bring their understanding of businesses and trusted client relationships into a wider ecosystem of buyers, capital providers, and institutional investors.
Role Description
We’re looking for an in-house Chartered Accountant with experience in (or a strong interest in) M&A; to help train, manage and improve our AI deal-sourcing assistant. The AI handles profile analysis, network searches and initial matching. Your role is to oversee its recommendations: assess the commercial and strategic rationale, check key financial and business details, identify unsupported assumptions, and determine whether a proposed connection is worth exploring.
You’ll translate your judgement into feedback, examples and clearer matching criteria, helping the assistant recognise meaningful opportunities and ask better questions.
You’ll also help facilitate relevant introductions and use the resulting feedback to improve future recommendations.
This is an opportunity to apply your financial expertise to M&A; origination, develop relationships across the professional network and help shape how AI discovers and evaluates potential transactions.
Qualifications
- Professional Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification mandatory
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent specialization in finance or investment banking preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and M&A; advisory.
- Advanced analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities to assess business performance, valuation, and transaction scenarios.
- Proficiency in due diligence processes, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and operational information for risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Robust relationship-building skills and comfort working closely with CAs, business owners, and investors in a collaborative environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Indian business and regulatory environments; experience with technology-enabled financial platforms is an advantage.
