Poker Instructor & Casino Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and professional Poker Instructor & Casino Manager to lead our poker operations and help build a premium, professionally managed gaming setting.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of Texas Hold’em poker, poker-room operations, dealer management, player relations, table management and gaming-floor operations. The person will be responsible for both training players and staff and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the poker room.

This is a hands-on leadership role suitable for someone who understands poker beyond simply playing the game and can create a high-quality experience for both current and experienced players.

Key Responsibilities

1. Poker Instruction & Training

- Conduct beginner, intermediate and advanced poker training sessions.
- Teach Texas Hold’em rules, hand rankings, betting structures, poker terminology and table etiquette.
- Train players on fundamentals such as:

- Position

- Pot odds

- Hand selection

- Bet sizing

- Bluffing

- Bankroll management

- Tournament strategy
- Cash-game strategy
- Conduct practical table-based training sessions.
- Develop structured poker courses and training materials.
- Organize poker workshops, leagues and learning events.
- Assess player progress and provide constructive feedback.

1. Poker Room Management

- Manage daily poker-room operations and table openings/closures.
- Ensure tables operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage player seating, waitlists and table balancing.
- Coordinate cash games and tournaments according to approved club procedures.
- Monitor table activity, player experience and operational efficiency.
- Handle disputes and player complaints professionally.

- Maintain a premium and welcoming atmosphere on the gaming floor.

1. Dealer & Staff Management

- Recruit, train and supervise poker dealers and floor staff.
- Conduct dealer training and regular performance assessments.
- Ensure dealers follow standardized dealing procedures.
- Prepare staff schedules and shift allocations.




- Monitor staff discipline, grooming and professional conduct.

- Conduct regular briefings before shifts.
- Identify training requirements and operational gaps.

1. Tournament Management

- Plan and execute poker tournaments.
- Prepare tournament structures, blind levels and schedules.
- Manage registrations, seating and player communication.
- Coordinate tournament staff and dealers.
- Ensure accurate chip counts, table balancing and tournament procedures.

- Handle tournament-related disputes and rulings.
- Maintain accurate tournament records.

1. Guest Experience & VIP Management

- Build robust relationships with regular players and VIP guests.
- Personally welcome important guests and high-value players.
- Understand player preferences and improve their overall experience.
- Help develop loyalty programs, leagues and special events.

- Coordinate with management on VIP events and promotions.
- Maintain a sophisticated, discreet and professional environment.

1. Compliance, Security & Responsible Gaming

- Ensure all operations follow applicable laws, regulations and club policies.
- Maintain strict procedures for player verification, entry/access and record keeping where applicable.
- Coordinate with security and surveillance teams.
- Report suspicious or irregular activity according to established procedures.
- Promote responsible gaming practices.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding players, transactions and club operations.

- Follow all approved cash-handling and chip-control procedures.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

- Strong practical knowledge of Texas Hold’em poker.
- Previous experience in a poker room, casino, gaming club, poker academy or similar environment.

- Excellent understanding of poker rules, strategy and table procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




- Ability to manage staff and resolve conflicts.
- Professional appearance and personality.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:
- 3+ years of poker-room/casino operations experience.
- Previous experience as a Poker Floor Manager, Poker Room Manager, Tournament Director, Dealer Trainer or Poker Coach.

- Experience managing poker tournaments.
- Experience training dealers or gaming staff.
- Experience with poker-room management software.
- Experience working with VIP/high-value clientele.

- Knowledge of Indian gaming regulations and responsible-gaming practices.
