We are looking for a CAD & NX Designer who wants to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment and contribute directly to the complete process from product/design concept to mould manufacturing and assembly.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CAD & NX Designer to join our design and toolroom team.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing plastic injection moulds, dies, mould components and engineering drawings using CAD and Siemens NX / NX Unigraphics.

The role requires close coordination with the production and toolroom teams to ensure that designs are accurate, manufacturable and suitable for machining and final mould assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for plastic injection moulds and dies.
- Develop mould components, assemblies, core, cavity, inserts, sliders, lifters and other tool components.
- Prepare manufacturing and engineering drawings with appropriate dimensions and tolerances.
- Use Siemens NX / NX Unigraphics for 3D modelling and mould design. (Highly preffered)




- Use AutoCAD/CAD software for 2D drafting and technical drawings.
- Interpret customer drawings, product designs and technical specifications.
- Modify existing mould designs according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate with VMC, CNC, EDM/WEDM, grinding, fitting and assembly teams.
- Ensure designs are practical for machining and mould assembly.
- Check designs for dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.
- Maintain drawing files, revisions and technical documentation.
- Assist in resolving design and manufacturing-related technical issues.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens NX / NX Unigraphics.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software.
- Knowledge of plastic injection mould design.
- Understanding of tool & die manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T.;
- Good 3D visualization and mechanical design skills.
- Understanding of machining/manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Qualification Diploma / ITI / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, Production Engineering or a related field.

Experience

1–4 years preferred in:

- Plastic mould design
- Injection mould design
- Tool & die design
- CAD design
- NX/Unigraphics
- Toolroom manufacturing

Freshers with solid practical knowledge of NX/AutoCAD and plastic mould design may also be considered. Salary & Benefits
