Role overview
Clickd is looking for a Business Development Manager - MICE & Corporate Events to drive new business and revenue across corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, dealer meets, brand launches, offsites, annual days, awards, summits and other MICE formats.
This is a hands-on enterprise business development role. The person will identify and open corporate accounts, build relationships with MICE and experiential agencies, develop a qualified pipeline, understand client briefs, propose the right Click’d solution, negotiate commercials and close business. The role is not about selling a generic photobooth. It is about selling Click’d as a premium experiential engagement, branded-content and guest-experience solution.
Key responsibilities
- Own monthly and quarterly targets for qualified pipeline, conversion, revenue and margin across the MICE and corporate-events vertical.
- Generate business across conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, corporate events, brand activations, offsites, awards and large-format business gatherings.
- Prospect, pitch and close corporate clients across marketing, brand, corporate communications, HR, employee engagement and procurement teams.
- Develop relationships with CMOs, Brand Managers and other senior decision-makers, and build multi-event or annual-account opportunities rather than only one-off bookings.
- Sell Click’d solutions around guest engagement, branded UGC, social amplification, data capture, sponsorship value and premium event experience.
- Build a strong network with experiential marketing agencies, event production companies, MICE agencies, corporate travel partners, exhibition organisers and conference producers.
- Get Click’d empanelled or preferred as a recurring photo-experience partner across agency and organiser accounts.
- Create “Photobooth Sponsored by Brand” opportunities for exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
- Maintain an active opportunity calendar for major Delhi NCR and national conferences, exhibitions,
trade shows and corporate-event properties.
- Translate client briefs into the right product mix across Click’d photobooths, compact units, mirror experiences, Glambot, infinity mirror wall and other formats.
- Prepare commercially sound proposals covering scope, duration, staffing, logistics, branding, technology, travel and margin considerations.
- Manage proposals, negotiations, contract coordination, purchase-order follow-up and payment collection with internal support.
- Maintain a clean CRM and weekly forecast with opportunity value, probability, next action, expected closure date and payment status.
- Create clear handovers to operations covering venue, timings, technical requirements, branding approvals, guest flow, client contacts and commercial commitments.
- Attend selected first-time or high-value events and convert successful activations into testimonials, case studies and repeat business.
Success measures Monthly and quarterly revenue, qualified pipeline coverage, enterprise and agency accounts opened, lead-to-proposal and proposal-to-closure conversion, average booking value, gross margin, payment discipline, retention and repeat-event revenue.
Preferred candidate profile
- 10+ years of relevant business development, sales or key-account experience in MICE, corporate events, experiential marketing, exhibitions or conferences is preferred. Exceptional candidates with less experience may also be considered based on network, closures and demonstrated capability.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prospect, pitch, negotiate and close enterprise business.
- Strong understanding of corporate marketing and event decision-making, including agency, procurement and stakeholder approval processes.
- Comfort building proposals, pricing solutions, managing pipelines and working against revenue targets.
- Solid written and verbal communication, presentation skills and senior-client confidence.
- Willingness to travel, attend events and work around business-critical event schedules when required.
- Existing relationships with CMOs, Brand Managers, Corporate Communications leaders, experiential procurement teams, event agencies, MICE organisers, exhibition companies or enterprise event buyers will be a strong advantage.
- Experience selling brand activations, sponsorships, experiential solutions, event technology or high-value event services will be highly relevant.
Compensation and work details Fixed compensation: 8-12 LPA, depending on experience, pedigree and track record.
Variable compensation: 2-4 LPA, linked to business generated.
Location: Gurugram / Delhi NCR.
Work mode: Hybrid, with frequent client meetings, event visits and travel as required.
Employment type: Full-time, permanent.
Reporting to: Founder / Business Head.
