About Shramik

Every morning, lakhs of daily-wage workers stand at labour chowks hoping someone will hire them. Many go home without work, and those who find it often have no proof of their skills and no protection if wages go unpaid.

Shramik is building a verified digital identity and job-matching platform for India's blue-collar workforce. Workers get a profile that records their skills and work history, job alerts near them so they don't have to wait at a chowk, and a fairer shot at steady, properly paid work. Workers are never charged.

About the Role

You will be the on-ground face of Shramik at labour chowks: meeting workers, explaining the platform, onboarding them, and documenting their lives and work. These stories are a core part of onboarding. They help us understand who we are building for and bring visibility to people who are rarely heard.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit assigned labour chowks as per the field schedule




- Explain Shramik and its benefits to workers in simple, relatable Hindi
- Build trust and answer workers' questions about the platform
- Collect and accurately enter worker data (personal details, skills, work history)
- Document workers' lives through short interviews, photos and videos, with their consent
- Submit daily field reports on workers approached, onboarded and documented
- Share ground-level feedback and worker concerns with the core team

Requirements

- Final-year student or recent graduate
- Fluent spoken Hindi; basic English
- Comfortable with early-morning field visits and face-to-face conversations with workers
- Basic smartphone and data-entry skills
- Reliable, self-motivated and honest in reporting
- Interest in storytelling, photography or video is a plus
