Role Description The Branch Manager – Operations & MnR is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, maintenance and repair activities, and service quality. This role manages freight forwarding and container depot workflows, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
The Branch
Manager monitors operational performance, implements process improvements, and ensures adherence to compliance, safety, and documentation standards. They lead and develop branch staff, manage budgets and cost controls, track key operational metrics, and address escalations to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
The role also involves preparing regular reports for senior management and supporting business growth initiatives within the region.
Qualifications
- Solid operational management and branch administration skills, with experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or container depot operations.
- Competence in maintenance and repair (MnR) planning, asset management, and coordination with technical and vendor teams.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization, including use of basic MS Office and logistics-related software.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills for working with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and staff development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on compliance and safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Prior experience in a branch management, operations lead, or similar role in the logistics or supply chain sector is highly beneficial.
