We’re Hiring: Billings Specialist

Location: Hyderabad

Job Type: Full-Time (US Shift / 40–45 hrs/week)

Reports To: Billing Manager / Team Lead

Shift - 6:30pm to 3:30 am or 5:30pm to 2:30am

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Billings Specialist to join our offshore finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate and timely billing and accounting operations. You will handle end-to-end specialized invoicing, work across multiple customer portals, manage PO tracking, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve exceptions and optimize billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Invoicing & Portal Management (75%):
- Process, analyze, and upload invoices to vendor portals and via email according to custom client requirements.
- Execute weekly billing cycles and generate financial status reports.
- Maintain invoice delivery within standard SLAs (presenting invoices within 3 business days of generation).
- Research and resolve third-party vendor invoice matches and request payment releases.
- Collaborative PO & Exception Management (20%):
- Partner directly with Account Managers, Collections, and field teams to obtain current POs, SOWs, and supporting documentation to prevent billing delays.




- Manage mailbox inquiries and systematically resolve billing discrepancies or operational exceptions.
- Process Improvement & Analytics (5%):
- Analyze invoicing trends, identify operational gaps, and propose streamlined solutions to minimize errors.
- Prepare ad-hoc and standardized reports detailing invoice status (presented vs. unpresented).

What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience in the billing domain.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and working knowledge of Google Suite.
- Core Competencies: Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)
- Experience with PeopleSoft and web billing/accounting platforms.
- Background in 3rd-party voucher matching and research.
- Knowledge of staffing/operations systems (e.g., Randstad operations).
