Job Purpose The Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, checking, and processing project bills, measurement sheets, quantity calculations, and related documentation. The role will ensure accurate billing, proper reconciliation of quantities, and timely submission of contractor/vendor bills in accordance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare

RA Bills, Final Bills, and Client Bills as per project requirements.

- Prepare and verify

Measurement Sheets (MS)

and

Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

.

- Take site measurements and ensure that executed quantities are accurately recorded.

- Verify quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, work orders, and specifications.

- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.

- Check contractor/subcontractor bills and supporting documents.

- Prepare material reconciliation statements and quantity reconciliation reports.

- Coordinate with the Site Engineering, Projects, Purchase, Accounts, and Commercial teams.

- Track work progress and ensure billing is aligned with actual site execution.

- Identify variations, extra items, deviations, and additional work and maintain proper records.

- Assist in preparation of rate analysis for extra/deviation items.

- Maintain records of approved work orders, invoices, measurements, bills, and payment status.





- Verify deductions such as retention, advances, taxes, penalties, and other contractual deductions.

- Support preparation of monthly project billing and MIS reports

- Coordinate with consultants'/client representatives for measurement approvals and bill certification.

- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, project specifications, and organizational billing procedures.

- Maintain proper documentation for audits and project closure.

- Monitor pending bills and coordinate with concerned departments for timely processing and payment.

Key Skills

- Valuable knowledge of civil construction billing and quantity estimation

.

- Knowledge of

BOQ, Rate Analysis, RA Bills and Final Bills

.

- Understanding of drawings, specifications, and construction activities.

- Good knowledge of

MS Excel and MS Office

.

- Knowledge of

AutoCAD will be an advantage.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.

- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to work at project/site locations.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Desired Experience

- 4-5 years' Experience in billing and quantity surveying for building construction, infrastructure, institutional projects, or commercial projects will be preferred.
