Backend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1 to 1.5 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP and the MERN Stack, along with a good understanding of APIs, databases, server-side development, and application architecture.

You will work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to build, maintain, and improve scalable web applications and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Build secure and scalable applications using PHP and MERN Stack technologies.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and other relevant databases.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and backend-related problems.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and backend services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and basic application security practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation for APIs, applications, and development processes.
- Stay updated with modern backend development practices and technologies.

Required Skills

Backend Development

- Strong knowledge of PHP.
- Good understanding of Node.js and Express.js.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Understanding of backend architecture and server-side programming.
- Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as JWT, sessions, and role-based access.

MERN Stack

- MongoDB
- Express.js
- React.js
- Node.js





Candidates should have a practical understanding of the MERN ecosystem, particularly Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

Database

- Valuable knowledge of MySQL.
- Good understanding of MongoDB.
- Understanding of database design, queries, relationships, indexing, and optimization.

Other Technical Skills

- Git and GitHub/GitLab.
- Understanding of deployment and hosting concepts.
- Knowledge of Nginx/Apache is a plus.
- Familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Understanding of JSON, HTTP methods, status codes, and API security.

Good to Have
- Experience with React.js.
- Experience with CodeIgniter or another PHP framework.
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and payment gateways.
- Basic understanding of application performance optimization and security.
