Description

We are looking for an experienced Azure Application Gateway Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available Azure network solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Azure Application Gateway (WAF v2), Load Balancing, Azure Networking, SSL/TLS management, and cloud security best practices.

Duplication Cool-Off Policy:

1. Must NOT have interviewed, taken an online assessment, or submitted a profile to Infosys within the last 6 months (mandatory cool-off period).
2. Must NOT be currently registered or active in the Infosys candidate portal via any other sourcing agency/vendor.
3. Ex-Infosys Employees: Must disclose prior Infosys Employee ID and hold re-hire eligibility.

Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure Application Gateway (WAF v2).

Configure and maintain Listeners, Backend Pools, Health Probes, Routing Rules, URL Path-based Routing, and Rewrite Rules.

Implement and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies in both Prevention and Detection modes.

Configure SSL/TLS certificates and end-to-end HTTPS encryption.

Troubleshoot application connectivity, performance, and routing issues.

Monitor Application Gateway logs using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

Ensure high availability and scalability using autoscaling and zone-redundant deployments.

Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams for onboarding and migration activities.

Implement security best practices aligned with OWASP recommendations.

Support production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimization.





Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

Mandatory Skills

Azure Networking: Azure Application Gateway (Mandatory), Azure Load Balancer, Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Network Security Groups (NSG), Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, DNS Configuration.

Security: Azure WAF, SSL/TLS Certificate Management, OWASP Top 10, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Azure Key Vault.

Monitoring Operations: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Network Watcher.

Automation: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform / Bicep / ARM Templates, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).

Mandatory Experience 5-8 years in Cloud/Network Engineering.

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Application Gateway.

Experience implementing WAF policies and security controls.

Experience with Layer 7 routing, URL-based routing, and SSL offloading.

Hands-on troubleshooting of application traffic flow and connectivity issues.

Experience with Production Support and Incident Management.

Valuable to Have

/ Preferred Azure Firewall implementation, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Front Door, Azure Traffic Manager.

DevOps and Automation experience.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

Qualification Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
