Role Description The Azure DevOps Architect will design, implement, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines and tooling to support scalable, secure, and reliable software delivery. This part-time remote role involves creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code templates, configuring continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows, and defining solution architectures that align with project and business requirements.

The architect will collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment practices, automate build and release processes, and ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing existing DevOps setups, recommending improvements, documenting architecture and processes, and mentoring team members on DevOps and cloud best practices.





Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices (e.g., ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Azure CLI) and experience managing cloud resources through automated templates.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) in Azure DevOps, including pipeline design, build/release automation, and setting management.
- Background in Software Development using modern programming or scripting languages, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience in Solution Architecture on Azure, including designing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
- Knowledge of source control (Git), branching strategies, and DevOps best practices for collaboration and code quality.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools in Azure (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights) and performance optimization concepts.
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments, including role-based access control and secure configuration management.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a remote setup.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are an advantage.
