Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Furniture Designer with strong AutoCAD 2D & 3D skills to develop furniture designs, technical drawings, 3D models, and production-ready drawings. The candidate should have positive knowledge of furniture manufacturing, materials, dimensions, fittings, and fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of furniture using AutoCAD.
- Develop designs for almirahs, wardrobes, cabinets, tables, beds, storage units, and other furniture products.
- Prepare production-ready drawings with accurate dimensions, specifications, sections, and details.
- Convert concepts and requirements into practical and manufacturable furniture designs.
- Prepare cutting layouts, part drawings, assembly drawings, and component details.
- Coordinate with the Production, Fabrication, Purchase, and Quality teams for design implementation.
- Modify designs based on production requirements, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
- Select appropriate materials, hardware, fittings, and accessories as per product requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, tolerances, joints, fittings, and assembly details.
- Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials)



and design documentation where required.
- Support prototype development and resolve design-related production issues.
- Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
- Ensure designs are cost-effective, functional, safe, and suitable for mass production.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Knowledge of furniture design and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.
- Positive understanding of dimensions, measurements, materials, and hardware.
- Knowledge of MS Excel for basic design/BOM documentation.
- Knowledge of 3D furniture modelling software such as SolidWorks, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar software will be an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and visualization skills.
- Ability to work with production and fabrication teams.

Preferred Candidate
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Mechanical Design, Product Design, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing/designing.
- Experience in steel furniture, almirah, modular furniture, home appliances, or sheet-metal products will be preferred.
