Position: HVAC Technician

Department: Maintenance / Engineering

Reports To: Maintenance In-charge / Hospital Administration

Employment Type: Full-Time / Shift Duty

Location: Hospital
Job Purpose

To maintain, operate, repair and troubleshoot the hospital’s HVAC, air-conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure proper temperature, air quality and comfortable conditions for patients, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain AC, HVAC and ventilation systems.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Check and maintain AHU, FCU, exhaust fans, fresh-air systems and ducting.
Identify and repair electrical, mechanical and refrigeration-related faults.
Check refrigerant pressure, temperature and system performance.
Maintain proper temperature and ventilation in critical areas such as OT, ICU, isolation rooms and other clinical areas.
Attend breakdown complaints and complete repairs promptly.
Maintain maintenance records, checklists and service reports.
Coordinate with external AMC/service agencies when required.
Follow hospital safety, infection-control and maintenance procedures.
Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
Report major faults,



equipment damage and safety issues to the Maintenance In-charge.
Follow electrical and workplace safety precautions at all times.
Required Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Electrical or related field.
Relevant hospital or commercial HVAC experience will be preferred.
Skills Required
Good knowledge of HVAC and AC systems.
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read basic technical diagrams.
Positive problem-solving and maintenance skills.
Ability to work in shifts and during emergency breakdowns.
Teamwork and positive communication skills.
Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred. Hospital experience will be an added advantage.

Proper maintenance documentation.
Temperature and ventilation control in critical areas.
Compliance with hospital safety and maintenance standards.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
