LOCATION: Whitefield, Bengaluru City

Role Description The Associate Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and building long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients. The person in this position will conduct cold calling, prospecting & profiling of potential clients, support the development of sales strategies, prepare proposals and presentations, and coordinate with the design and construction teams to align client expectations with project capabilities.

Day-to-day tasks include maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, tracking sales metrics, participating in client meetings and site visits,



and contributing to marketing initiatives that promote Poetry Designs’ sustainable home solutions. The role also involves gathering client feedback to improve service offerings and supporting senior leadership in achieving revenue and growth targets.

Qualifications

- Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, cold calling, opportunity qualification, and relationship management.
- Market research and analytical skills to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in architectural and sustainable construction.
- Robust communication and presentation skills to explain design concepts, project scope, and value propositions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Negotiation and stakeholder coordination skills to align client expectations with internal teams and manage agreements effectively.
- Organizational and project support skills, including pipeline tracking, documentation, and follow-up on proposals and contracts.
- Interest in sustainable design and construction practices, with the ability to articulate environmental and long-term value benefits to clients.
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles in construction, real estate, or design services is an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru, with willingness to travel locally for client meetings and site visits as needed.
