– Assistant Professor – Finance & Aviation

Position: Assistant Professor – Finance & Aviation

Experience: 3–5 Years

Qualification: MBA / PhD in Finance, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant discipline.

Job Purpose To deliver high-quality teaching and academic support in the areas of Finance and Aviation, facilitate student learning through practical and industry-oriented approaches, and contribute to academic activities, curriculum delivery, student mentoring, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging lectures in Finance and Aviation-related subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Use practical examples, case studies, simulations, and industry-based applications to enhance student learning.
- Ensure timely completion of the assigned syllabus and academic requirements.
- Conduct examinations, assessments, evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to students.

2. Finance – Academic Responsibilities

- Teach subjects related to Financial Management, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Banking, Financial Markets, and related areas.
- Explain financial concepts through practical business cases and industry applications.
- Guide students in financial analysis, budgeting, financial planning, and decision-making exercises.

3. Aviation – Academic Responsibilities

- Deliver sessions related to Aviation Management and allied areas.
- Cover relevant areas such as airline operations, airport management, aviation finance, aviation economics, passenger services, and aviation industry practices.
- Incorporate current aviation industry practices and real-world examples into classroom teaching.




- Support students in understanding career opportunities and professional requirements within the aviation sector.

4. Student Mentoring & Development

- Mentor and guide students on academic and career-related matters.
- Monitor student performance, attendance, and academic progress.
- Provide academic support to students requiring additional guidance.
- Encourage students to participate in projects, presentations, competitions, seminars, and industry-oriented activities.

5. Academic Administration

- Maintain course files, attendance records, assessment records, and other academic documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
- Support curriculum development and review activities.
- Coordinate internal assessments, examinations, projects, and other academic processes.

6. Industry & Practical Learning

- Develop industry-oriented learning activities and case studies.
- Support guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and industry interaction programs.
- Establish and maintain professional connections with relevant Finance and Aviation industry professionals where required.
- Facilitate internships, projects, and practical exposure for students.

7. Institutional Activities

- Participate in student activities, academic events, workshops, seminars, and institutional initiatives.
- Support admissions and student engagement activities when required.
- Contribute to institutional academic development and quality improvement initiatives.




- Undertake other academic responsibilities assigned by the HOD / Academic Leadership.

- Solid knowledge of Finance and/or Aviation Management
- Good teaching and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and practical manner
- Student mentoring and classroom management skills
- Good academic documentation and organisational skills
- Ability to use technology and digital tools for teaching
- Industry-oriented and practical approach to learning

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: MBA / PhD in Finance, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant teaching and/or industry experience in Finance, Aviation, Banking, Financial Services, Aviation Management, or related fields.
- Candidates with relevant industry exposure and strong practical knowledge may be preferred.

Reporting Reports To: HOD / Dean – Academics / Academic Leadership, ONESB

Overall Responsibility The Assistant Professor will be responsible for effective delivery of Finance and Aviation-related courses, student mentoring, academic administration, industry-oriented learning, and active participation in the overall academic development of ONESB.

Work Location: In person

Pay: ₹35,057.04 - ₹40,000.83 per month
