We are Hiring Assistant Pharmacy Manager

Location: Cherkala, Kasaragod, Kerala

Job Summary:

Sabine Hospitals and Research Centre is looking for an experienced Assistant Pharmacy Manager to support the management of pharmacy operations, ensure proper medication management, maintain regulatory compliance, and supervise pharmacy staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy.
- Supervise and coordinate pharmacy staff and allocate duties.
- Ensure proper dispensing, storage, handling, and distribution of medicines.
- Monitor pharmacy stock, inventory levels, expiry dates, and slow-moving/non-moving items.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, procurement, stores, and other departments regarding medication requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and applicable drug and pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain proper records for medicines, including controlled/high-risk medications where applicable.
- Monitor purchase requirements and assist in maintaining optimum inventory levels.
- Conduct regular stock verification and support internal audits.
- Ensure proper documentation of medication issues, returns, damages, and expiries.
- Support implementation of medication safety and quality-control practices.
- Train and guide pharmacy staff on SOPs and safe medication practices.
- Handle pharmacy-related queries and resolve operational issues.




- Prepare reports related to pharmacy stock, consumption, and operations.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in developing and implementing pharmacy SOPs and processes.

Qualifications:

- B.Pharm / D Pharm
- Valid registration with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.
- 6 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital pharmacy.
- Previous experience in a supervisory/leadership role will be preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, inventory management, and medication safety.
