Monthly Remuneration: ₹50,000 per month

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Quality Control to lead our quality assurance and compliance operations at our flexible packaging manufacturing plant.

The ideal candidate must hold at least 5 years of core QA/QC experience in flexible packaging, along with hands-on expertise in managing ISO audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000) and acting as the Management Representative (MR) for integrated quality systems. You will oversee shop-floor quality inspection, raw material testing, process controls, client audits, and total quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. ISO Audits & Management Representative (MR) Duties

· Serve as the Management Representative (MR) for ISO/FSMS standards, maintaining and updating Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, manuals, SOPs, and policies.

· Plan, lead, and conduct internal ISO quality audits across production departments; coordinate and lead external third-party certification and customer audits.

· Root-cause analysis (CAPA), non-conformity tracking, and continuous improvement protocols to meet ISO compliance standards.

2. Quality Control & Testing (Lab & Shop-Floor)

· Oversee incoming raw material testing (PET, BOPP, CPP, Foil, PE, Solvents, Inks, Adhesives) to ensure adherence to technical specifications.

· Supervise in-process quality parameters across printing (Rotogravure/Flexo), lamination (solvent-less / solvent-based), slitting, and pouch-making divisions.





· Conduct finished goods testing, including bond strength, seal strength, COF, GSM, solvent retention, burst strength, and leak testing.

3. Customer Complaint Management & CAPA

· Address client quality complaints regarding lamination defects, shade variation, sealing issues, or odor/solvent retention.

· Perform thorough root-cause investigations on defective batches and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) with production heads.

· Prepare Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents for dispatched product batches to client technical teams.

4. Team Leadership & Process Safety

· Lead, train, and manage line QC inspectors and lab technicians on sampling protocols, testing standards, and safety norms.

· Maintain hygienic manufacturing practices suitable for food-grade, agro, and pharmaceutical flexible packaging.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within a Flexible Packaging / Converter unit.

· Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Bachelor’s / Diploma in Packaging Technology (II P), Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.

· Key Skills & Expertise:

o Direct experience working as / assisting the Management Representative (MR) for ISO systems.

o Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, HACCP, and food-safety packaging compliance.

o Hands-on expertise with packaging testing instruments (Gas Chromatograph, Tensile Tester, COF Tester, Heat Sealer, etc.).

o Solid leadership, problem-solving, and audit reporting skills.
