- Guest Requests: Answer and fix repair calls for guest rooms quickly.

- System Upkeep: Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), refrigeration, and boiler systems.

- Preventative Maintenance: Run routine safety checks and tests on hotel gear, pools, and life safety alarms.

- Record Keeping: Update work orders, log job cards, and track repair parts inventory.

- Facility Coverage: Step in as the main contact for repairs when the chief maintenance engineer is away.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on maintenance work, preferably in a hotel or large building.

- Technical Knowledge: Basic training in electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry.

- Physical Ability: Able to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and walk long shifts.

- Communication: Good verbal skills to report issues to management and help guests politely.
