Job Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Goregaon East (NESCO)

Purpose of the job

: To provide legal and commercial advice and solutions

Accountabilities:
Providing effective legal and commercial advice and assistance
Review, draft and negotiate contracts
Assist the function supported regarding the identification, assessment, mitigation and management of legal and commercial risk in light of different risk profiles
Help to ensure that business is conducted in accordance with relevant law and Sodexo’s internal governance processes
Provide preliminary advice on disputes
Advise on regulatory compliance
Support a range of standard and bespoke contracts and queries with relatively low to medium levels of revenues, complexity and impact
General legal advice to the business supported
Support the effective operation of legal processes, including maintaining accurate and timely legal reporting and ensuring the contract database is up to date and well‑managed

Ensure compliance with UK&I; DOAs and policies and with contractual governance

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Qualified lawyer in EU jurisdiction with international commercial legal experience
Good technical knowledge and experience of the law (including contract / commercial law and regulatory issues e.g. Data Protection, Anti-Bribery etc.),contracts and practice relevant to the Segments/Functions supported
Positive technical contract drafting and negotiation skills
IS&T; contract experience and procurement and distribution contract experience
Problem solving – ability to identify and analyse key information to make balanced and appropriate decisions
Problem solving - ability to advise on legal and commercial options and challenge others where necessary
Ability to provide preliminary advice on legal disputes
Good communication and interpersonal skills
