About the Role:

Crestron is looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of Crestron's next-generation products, including collaboration ecosystems, touch panels, unified communication devices, and other cutting-edge solutions.

As a technical lead, you will work extensively with Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Android Framework, Middleware, and Application layers, driving product innovation and delivering high-quality embedded software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement components across AOSP Framework, Android Middleware, and Application layers.
Customize Android Framework and Middleware with a strong system-level understanding.
Work with SELinux policies and configurations for existing and recent components.
Utilize advanced Android debugging tools and techniques.
Design, develop, test, and debug complex embedded systems.
Provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications.




Drive feature enhancements and maintenance of existing products.
Implement industry best practices in embedded and firmware development.
Diagnose and resolve defects identified during quality engineering processes.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science preferred).
8+ years of experience in embedded systems development with robust Android and Linux expertise.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced experience with:
Android Application Development
AOSP
Java
C++
Strong understanding of Android Framework architecture.
Experience with:
Multithreading
IPC (Inter-Process Communication)
Socket Programming
Experience with MDEP is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
