Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Collection Manager based in Kollam.

The Area Collection

Manager will oversee and manage collections operations for a designated territory, ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include monitoring portfolio performance, allocating and supervising field collection teams, reviewing delinquent accounts, and implementing strategies to reduce non-performing assets.



The role involves regular coordination with branch staff and regional leadership, analyzing collection data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The manager will also support process improvements, provide guidance and training to collection executives, and handle escalated customer issues professionally and ethically.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in collections, credit control, or recovery management within financial services or banking.
- Strong skills in portfolio monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for collections performance and risk management.
- Ability to lead and supervise field collection teams, with competence in people management and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to handle customer interactions and escalations.
- Sound understanding of lending products (e.g., vehicle finance, home loans, SME loans) and related regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using MS Excel and basic MIS tools for dashboards, trackers, and performance reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Ability to work in office in Kollam, with readiness for local travel within the assigned area.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and adherence to company policies and responsible collection practices.
