Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounts Software Analyst with practical knowledge of accounting and experience working in a CA/CMA firm. The role involves understanding accounting processes and business requirements and applying this knowledge to accounting software and ERP solutions.

The candidate will work closely with the development, testing, implementation, and support teams to ensure that accounting-related software functionalities are designed and implemented according to actual business practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand accounting processes followed by businesses and organizations.
- Analyze accounting requirements and convert them into clear software requirements.
- Study and understand accounting modules and workflows in ERP/software applications.
- Coordinate with development and implementation teams regarding accounting-related functionalities.
- Review software features, screens, workflows, reports, and calculations from an accounting perspective.
- Perform functional testing of accounting-related modules and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare requirement documents, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Assist in preparing test scenarios and validating accounting reports.
- Understand client requirements and provide accounting-related clarification to internal teams.




- Participate in software demonstrations and explain accounting functionalities to clients when required.
- Identify gaps between existing accounting practices and software functionality and communicate them to the concerned teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a CA/CS/CMA firm or similar professional accounting environment.
- Solid practical understanding of accounting concepts and business processes.
- Good knowledge of ledgers, vouchers, journals, receivables, payables, taxation, GST, financial statements, and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with Tally or other accounting/ERP software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand software workflows and learn new software applications.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel.

Preferred

- Experience working with ERP/accounting software.
- Experience in software implementation, functional testing, or business analysis.
- Candidates who can bridge the gap between accounting practices and software functionality will be preferred.

Important This is not a routine accounting or accounts executive position.* The role is focused on applying accounting knowledge to s*oftware/ERP analysis, requirements, functional testing, and implementation.
