JPEL Power & Steel is seeking an experienced QA/QC skilled to lead quality assurance for civil construction activities at its Botswana project site. The Manager QA (Civil) will ensure that all construction work and materials meet project specifications and quality standards. The role covers quality planning, inspections, material testing, documentation control and leadership of the site QA/QC team.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection and testing: Conduct regular site inspections and material testing to verify that construction activities and materials meet the required quality standards.
Quality systems: Develop, implement and monitor quality plans, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Team leadership: Lead, mentor and build the QA/QC team, and manage ongoing site quality work effectively.
Documentation and reporting: Manage and control project quality documentation, including quality control plans, inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Compliance:



Ensure civil works comply with applicable project specifications, codes and client requirements, and close out non-conformances in a timely manner.
Coordination: Work with the construction, project and site teams to resolve quality issues and support smooth project execution.

Qualifications and Experience
Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering
Experience: Minimum 10 years in QA/QC in civil construction
Proven experience in civil construction or related fields
International work experience preferred

Key Skills and Competencies
Solid knowledge of QA/QC practices, standards and testing methods in civil construction
Quality planning and audit skills
Documentation control and report writing (QCPs, inspection reports, NCRs)
Leadership, team building and people management
Communication and coordination skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams at an overseas site
