Role Description The Accountant role at EMPIRE APPARELS LTD is a full time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.
Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with budgeting, monitoring cash flows, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies,
and will prepare reports for management to support decision-making. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, responding to audit queries, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Experience managing accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
- Familiarity with Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organization skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the textiles, apparel, or manufacturing sector is a plus.
