We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage bookkeeping and accounting activities for our gym and restaurant clients. The ideal candidate should have robust accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records for gym and restaurant businesses.
- Record sales, purchases, expenses, bank transactions, and journal entries.
- Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Manage and maintain accounting records using Tally and Zoho Books.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Assist in GST-related accounting and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with clients for accounting information and supporting documents.
- Use MS Excel for accounting, data analysis, and reporting.
- Draft professional emails and communicate effectively with clients.
- Explore and use basic AI tools to improve accounting efficiency and automate routine tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools and their practical applications in accounting.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draft qualified emails and handle client communication.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting for gyms and fitness centres.
- Experience in restaurant accounting, including sales reconciliation and expense management.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their accounting integrations.
