Greenwich Packaging is a UK-focused packaging company providing food, takeaway and customised packaging solutions to businesses across the UK. Our Mumbai back office supports our UK operations across finance, procurement, administration and customer service.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Manager to take ownership of day-to-day accounting and financial administration for our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for the company.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Work extensively on Zoho Books for accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations and reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including supplier and customer ledgers.
- Perform regular bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and accounting schedules.
- Calculate and prepare quarterly VAT workings for the UK business.
- Maintain proper documentation and records required for VAT and accounting purposes.
- Handle accounting related to import and export transactions, including a basic understanding of international trade documentation and associated accounting entries.
- Coordinate with the UK team, suppliers, customers and external accountants/auditors whenever required.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and assist with cash-flow management.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and maintained on a timely basis.
- Assist management with financial analysis, MIS reports and other accounting requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience,



preferably in a senior accounts role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
- Positive understanding of Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of import/export accounting and international transactions.
- Ability to independently manage accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage

- Previous experience with UK accounting will be a strong advantage.
- Experience handling UK VAT and quarterly VAT calculations.
- Experience working with UK-based companies, customers or suppliers.
- Familiarity with UK accounting practices and financial documentation.
- Experience in the packaging, trading, import/export or FMCG industry will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, responsible and capable of independently managing the accounts function for our UK operations.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large volumes of transactions, be highly proficient in Excel, have strong Zoho Books knowledge and be willing to take ownership rather than simply perform routine data entry.

If you have UK accounting experience along with Zoho Books expertise, you will be strongly preferred.
