Job Summary
As a Member of Technical Staff 2, you will resolve complex ONTAP issues. Collaborate with Support and engineering teams for root-cause analysis and product fixes.
You will
Investigate and resolve complex ONTAP subsystem issues.
Perform root-cause analysis using logs, traces, packet captures, core dumps, telemetry, and debugging.
Reproduce issues, identify defects, and develop or validate code fixes.
Work with Support, Development, QA, and Product Management to resolve issues.
Develop automation to speed troubleshooting and reduce repeat problems.
Enhance product reliability, supportability, and diagnosability through reviews and best practices
Job Requirements
Experience in storage networking is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Google Cloud and experience with distributed cloud environments, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
Solid understanding of operating systems, networking,
and distributed systems.
Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python with hands-on debugging experience.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex, ambiguous problems in large-scale distributed storage systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across geographically distributed engineering teams.
Experience developing diagnostic tools or automation for production issue analysis.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers or customer-facing engineering teams.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
