Role Summary The System Analysis Engineer Intern will support site surveys, machine and plant studies, engineering documentation, system integration, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation and monitoring systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with site surveys and collection of machine, electrical, instrumentation, PLC, VFD, SCADA/DCS, and network information.
Review P&IDs;, SLDs, panel drawings, PLC architecture, I/O lists, tag lists, and equipment documentation under guidance.
Help identify available signals, required sensors, PLC/VFD data, communication interfaces, and integration requirements.
Support preparation of system architecture, wiring/interconnection drawings, cable schedules, I/O/tag lists, and network drawings.
Assist with sensor, instrumentation, power, protection, isolation, and communication requirement documentation.
Support Modbus RTU/TCP, RS-485, Ethernet, OPC UA, PLC, and VFD integration activities.
Participate in installation checks, point-to-point checks, signal verification, scaling/register verification, alarm tests, and live-data validation.
Assist with troubleshooting and maintain site-survey, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
Preferred Knowledge
Industrial automation fundamentals
Electrical and instrumentation basics
PLC/VFD fundamentals
Electrical drawings and documentation
Modbus, RS-485, Ethernet, or industrial networking basics
Qualification
Students or recent graduates pursuing/completing B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics,
Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
What the Intern Will Learn
Site engineering, system integration, industrial communication, technical drawings, commissioning,
troubleshooting, and customer-project execution.
Travel Requirement
Should be open to frequent customer/project-site travel depending on project requirements.
