Master’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant industry experience in bioinformatics and genomics

Role Description The Senior Bioinformatician will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of bioinformatics pipelines, with a focus on sequencing data and statistical analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing and analyzing large-scale DNA sequencing datasets, developing algorithms and workflows, and interpreting results to support research and product initiatives. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting methodologies, and presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Senior Bioinformatician will also mentor junior team members, contribute to project planning, and ensure data quality and reproducibility. This is a full-time, in office role based in Pune City,



with compensation up to 15 LPA depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
• Robust foundation in Statistics and Data Analysis, including experience with large biological datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Sequencing and DNA Sequencing workflows, tools, and platforms.
• Proven background in Research, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and scientific reporting.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (such as Python, R, or similar) and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with bioinformatics libraries, databases, and tools (e.g., NGS analysis tools, alignment software, variant calling pipelines).
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Biotechnology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in multidisciplin
