Role Description The Automation Engineer role at ACME Switchgears is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions for manufacturing lines and test systems, ensuring stable and efficient production processes. The Automation Engineer will configure and maintain control systems, PLCs, and robotics equipment, monitor process performance, and address issues affecting productivity, safety, or quality.



Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving automation and electrical problems, coordinating with production and maintenance teams, documenting changes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to upgrade existing systems, integrate new technologies, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess solid Automation and Process Control skills, including experience with PLCs, SCADA, or similar control platforms.
