The role

• We are hiring an Accountant to run our books day to day. You will handle accounting in Tally, keep every GST and TDS filing and payment on time, and give the directors a transparent monthly picture of where the business stands.
• This is a hands-on role. You do the work yourself and you report directly to the directors.

Salary
₹35,000 per month.

What you will do

Accounting in Tally
• Maintain the books in Tally: sales, purchases, expenses, bank, cash and journal entries, posted daily.
• Reconcile daily collections from memberships, personal training and classes across cash, card, UPI and bank transfer against our membership software and bank statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable: verify vendor bills, schedule payments and follow up on dues.
• Reconcile bank, vendor and ledger accounts every month.

TDS and statutory compliance
• Prepare and file GST returns on time: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and the annual return. Reconcile input tax credit against GSTR-2B.
• Deduct TDS correctly on salaries, rent, contractors and qualified fees. Deposit it on time, file the quarterly TDS returns and issue Form 16 and 16A.
• Keep a compliance calendar of every filing and payment date, and make sure each one goes out before it is due.
• Handle Qualified Tax, PF and ESIC payments and returns.
• Support our chartered accountants on notices and queries from the tax departments.

Reporting and month-end
• Close the books every month and at year-end, on schedule.
• Prepare the monthly profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow, and walk the directors through them.
• Support the directors on the annual budget and track actuals against it.
• Spot errors, leakages and overspending, and flag them early.
