Job Description – Team Lead - Counselling (Bengali & Odia)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Team lead – Counselling to lead and manage the counselling team catering to Bengali- and Odia-speaking students and parents for NEET/JEE preparation programs.

The role involves driving counselling conversions, managing team performance, ensuring a solid student/parent experience, and achieving enrolment and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of counsellors handling Bengali- and Odia-speaking students and parents.
• Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for the counselling team.
• Monitor individual and team performance through key metrics such as calls, connects, counselling sessions, conversions, and revenue.
• Conduct regular team huddles, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans.
Counselling & Sales
• Ensure counsellors effectively understand student requirements and recommend suitable programmes.




• Handle escalations and complex counselling cases involving students and parents.
• Support the team in high-value or difficult conversions.
• Ensure effective follow-up with leads to maximize conversion and reduce lead leakage.
Regional & Language Ownership
• Manage counselling operations for the Bengali and/or Odia-speaking market.
• Ensure counselling communication is culturally relevant and effective for the target audience.
• Support the team in communicating course perks, academic offerings, fee structures, scholarships, and other relevant information in the respective regional language.
Performance & Business Management
• Track daily sales and conversion performance against assigned targets.
• Analyze lead funnel, conversion ratios, productivity, and revenue metrics.
