As a Software Engineer within the HVDC Control & Protection team, you will support the execution of HVDC LCC Refurbishment projects by contributing to the development, implementation, testing, and validation of DC Control and DC Protection solutions. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help deliver reliable and innovative control systems while building specialized expertise in HVDC technology.
This role provides an excellent prospect to work on critical power transmission projects, supporting feature development for Pole Control, Bipole Control, and Station Control functions within a structured and team-oriented engineering environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Engineering Support & System Implementation (60%)
• Support the design and configuration of HVDC Control & Protection systems based on project and customer requirements.
• Create feature models and develop concepts, functional overviews, and technical specifications for:
• Pole Control
• Bipole Control
• Station Control within HVDC LCC technology.
• Develop and deliver features for HVDC LCC projects through specification development, software implementation, and testing activities.
• Assist in the preparation and modification of engineering drawings and schematics, including logic diagrams and single-line diagrams.
• Participate in module, integration, and system-level testing activities under guidance from senior engineers.
• Support Customer Factory Performance Tests (FPT), Energetic Performance Tests (DPT), and in office commissioning activities.
• Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues and contribute to root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support successful project delivery.
• Contribute to feature deployment, validation, and benchmarking initiatives.
