Job Description
Responsible for managing, leading and developing software engineering teams, planning software projects, creation of documentation and delivering software products for internal as well as external customers. This role also requires that the individual can interact and work with their counterparts globally to ensure effective delivery of the projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and career planning of team members in addition providing and ensuring consistent project planning, test strategy development,
cost and risk management throughout all projects.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Drive the project planning, execution, and meeting deliverable goals
• Work with other organizations, including Test/Development/Release, in releasing the product to customers
• Hire solid engineers, Developing and growing the engineering skills of the team
• Responsible for conducting test review and ensuring quality test coverage
• Facilitating the software engineering team interaction, coordination and communications with counterparts across geographies
• Leading brainstorming sessions, conducting post-mortem analysis after releases, reviewing, and providing input into engineering projects requirements
• Driving critical issues and interface with functional teams
• Individual goal planning and evaluation of team engineers in accordance with AMD policies
