Job Description
Develop detailed structural models and drawings for materials-handling projects using AutoCAD, Autodesk Advance Steel and Revit. Model structural steelwork and reinforced-concrete arrangements accurately in accordance with the engineer's design information, project standards and client requirements.
Prepare general arrangements, details, schedules and coordinated deliverables for conveyors, transfer towers, crushing stations, platforms and associated structures. Use Navisworks or equivalent federated-model tools to coordinate interfaces and resolve clashes.
Work closely with structural engineers and other disciplines to interpret calculations, design intent, loads, equipment interfaces and constructability constraints. Participate in design reviews and provide practical input on detailing, fabrication, erection, access and maintainability.
Manage model and drawing registers, revision control and document workflows for assigned work packages. Check your own work thoroughly and, where authorised, review and guide the work of junior designers.
Contribute to standard details, modelling libraries, digital workflows and continuous improvement.
