Key Responsibilities
Cluster Infrastructure & Management:
Design, deploy, upgrade, and manage production-grade Amazon EKS and OCF/Kubernetes settings.
Implement worker node strategies (Managed Node Groups, Spot Instances, Karpenter, or Cluster Autoscaler).
Manage cluster lifecycle, version upgrades, control plane health, and backup/disaster recovery strategies (using Velero, AWS Backup).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation:
Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Crossplane.
Build reusable Helm charts, Kustomize manifests, and GitOps workflows to automate application deployments.
Networking & Security:
Configure Kubernetes networking components including CNI (AWS VPC CNI), Ingress Controllers (ALB/Nginx), Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd), and CoreDNS.
Implement IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA / EKS Pod Identities) to ensure strict least-privilege security models.




Enforce cluster hardening, RBAC, OPA/Kyverno policies, NetworkPolicies, and secret management tools (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
CI/CD & Observability:
Implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitOps tools (ArgoCD, FluxCD) or enterprise orchestrators (Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions).
Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
Operations & Mentorship:
Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
Assist software teams with containerization, microservice migration, and cloud-native architecture best practices.
