Sanctions Asset Blocking - Assistant Vice President role is an intermediate level position responsible for supporting the Global Sanctions Asset Blocking Team in Services business. This position plays a crucial part in the execution of sanctions-related controls, ensuring that Citi identifies, restricts, and reports assets in compliance with global sanctions regimes. The role involves Supporting daily activities and primarily driving process improvements and working in collaboration with the broader functional stakeholder .
Responsibilities:
• Review existing processes and drive re-engineering initiatives to minimize risk to the bank
• Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies,
in conjunction with skilled judgement to make process improvement recommendations
• Lead implementation of assigned projects, including current products, services and upgrades to user platforms
• Identify process gaps for all applicable Policies and manage the delivery of improvements
• Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to current team members
• Support the daily operational tasks of the Asset Blocking Team, ensuring performance and quality expectations are met.
• Adhere to strict regulatory timelines and service-level agreements
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalatin
