Technical foundations: Networking, Linux, Windows and basic Python, Bash or PowerShell scripting.

Tools: Practical proficiency in Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark and vulnerability scanners.

Reporting: Prepare transparent reports with evidence, severity, business impact and remediation guidance; retest after fixes.

Client handling: Explain findings clearly and work with developers and IT teams.

Skilled conduct: Maintain confidentiality and test only with written authorisation within agreed scope.

Preferred—not compulsory

Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP, PNPT, CPTS or CEH.

Technical growth-marketing skills: API integrations, permitted public-data extraction, competitor research and easy lead-generation web tools.
