Costing Engineer – Sheet Metal & Fabrication

Location: Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu
Employment: Full-time | In office
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹75,000 per month

About the Role

Lyncus Precision Technology Pvt. Ltd. is a high-precision manufacturing company serving the Aerospace, Medical and Industrial sectors. We are looking for a Costing Engineer with practical experience in Sheet Metal & Fabrication Costing and Estimation.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates, cost sheets and quotations based on drawings, BOMs and RFQs.
Calculate material, labour, machine, tooling and overhead costs.
Estimate processes including Laser Cutting, Punching, Shearing, Bending/Press Brake, Welding and Fabrication.
Evaluate material utilization, process requirements and subcontracting costs.
Review engineering drawings and specifications for costing.
Evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations and support pricing decisions.
Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchase and NPD teams.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.





Requirements
3–10 years of relevant experience in Sheet Metal / Fabrication Costing or Estimation.
Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material costing.
Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications.
Experience in RFQ analysis and quotation preparation.
Good MS Excel and analytical skills.
Aerospace, Defence, Medical or Precision Manufacturing experience is an advantage.
CNC/VMC experience is an additional advantage.

Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
