Key Responsibilities
Pan-India Truck Tracking & Monitoring
Track all company/contracted trucks operating across India through GPS/vehicle tracking systems.
Monitor vehicle movement from dispatch to final delivery.
Maintain real-time visibility of vehicle location, route and expected delivery time.
Identify vehicle stoppages, route deviations, delays and abnormal halts and immediately coordinate with transporters/drivers.
Follow up continuously with drivers and transporters to ensure timely movement of vehicles.
Escalate critical delays, breakdowns, accidents or route-related issues to the concerned stakeholders.
Transit & Delivery Monitoring
Monitor daily dispatches and ensure vehicles are moving as per planned routes and schedules.
Track ETA vs. actual delivery and follow up for delayed consignments.
Coordinate with plants, warehouses, customers, transporters and drivers for smooth movement.
Maintain a daily tracker of vehicles in transit, delivered vehicles and delayed vehicles.
Ensure timely closure of POD and delivery-related information.
Toll, Tax & Road Clearance
Coordinate with transporters/drivers for toll payments, road taxes, permits and other statutory transit requirements.
Ensure timely resolution of toll/FASTag-related issues to avoid unnecessary vehicle stoppage.
Coordinate for e-way bill, state entry tax, permits and other applicable road documentation wherever required.
Resolve transit-related payment or documentation issues that may hold up vehicles.
Maintain records of toll, tax and other transit-related expenses.
Transporter & Driver Coordination
Maintain regular communication with transporters and drivers throughout the journey.
Ensure availability of drivers and vehicles as per dispatch requirements.
Follow up on vehicle breakdowns, tyre issues, accidents, route blocks and other emergencies.
Coordinate alternate vehicles or recovery arrangements wherever required.
Monitor transporter service levels and highlight recurring performance issues.
Route & Vehicle Optimization
Monitor planned routes and identify unnecessary deviations or delays.
Coordinate with transporters for productive route planning.
Track vehicle utilization and turnaround time.
Identify prospects to reduce detention, empty running, transit delays and additional transportation costs.
