Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement end-to-end automation solutions using Playwright across UI, API, and integrated systems.
Design and build scalable, reusable Playwright frameworks using up-to-date design patterns (POM, fixtures, custom utilities, modular architecture).
Establish automation standards, folder structures, naming conventions, and governance models.
Integrate Playwright automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
Drive cross-browser, parallel, and headless execution strategies.
Implement reporting, logging, debugging, and observability best practices.
Collaborate with Dev, DevOps, and Product teams to enable shift-left testing.
Provide technical mentorship to automation engineers and conduct framework/code reviews.
Evaluate and recommend complementary tools (API automation, mocking, test data management).
Explore and implement AI-assisted testing techniques (self-healing locators, intelligent test generation, flaky test detection).
Mandatory Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in automation engineering.
Solid hands-on expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript mandatory; Java or Python is a plus).
Proven experience designing and scaling Playwright frameworks from scratch.
Solid understanding of:
Fixtures and custom test setup in Playwright
Parallel execution and performance optimization
Cross-browser automation strategies
API automation using Playwright or REST libraries
Deep knowledge of:
CI/CD integration
Git workflows
