Printer TechnicianJob Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Printer Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of printers and multifunction devices. The technician will diagnose hardware and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure printers are operating efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and set up printers, multifunction printers (MFPs), scanners, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair printer hardware and mechanical problems.
- Troubleshoot printing, scanning, connectivity, and driver-related issues.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and servicing of printers.
- Replace toner, ink cartridges, drums, fusers, rollers, printheads, and other consumable or defective components.
- Configure printers for network and wireless printing.
- Install and update printer drivers and related software.
- Identify faulty components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain service records, repair reports, and spare-parts inventory.
- Respond to customer service calls and provide in office technical support when required.
- Explain basic printer operation and maintenance procedures to customers or staff.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely, accurately, and within the required time.




- Follow company safety procedures and technical service standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in printer repair and maintenance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of laser, inkjet, dot-matrix, and multifunction printers.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, networking, and printer drivers.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and testing equipment.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations when required.

Experience

- Fresher: Candidates with basic technical knowledge and willingness to learn may apply.
- Experienced: 1–3 years of experience in printer servicing, copier servicing, or IT hardware support preferred.

Working Conditions

- Field and workshop-based work.
- May require travel to customer locations.
- May occasionally require working outside normal business hours for urgent service calls.
