About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Global Finance team. This is a high-ownership role responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records across multiple international entities spanning India, the US, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Morocco, Senegal, and other global offices.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, global consolidations, intercompany accounting, statutory audits, and multi-country compliance, along with experience working in a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Controllership
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
- Review journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency consolidation.
Revenue & Intercompany Accounting
- Manage revenue reconciliations and Accounts Receivable (AR) aging.
- Review transfer pricing invoices and intercompany transactions.
- Resolve reconciliation issues across global entities.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies.
Audit, Compliance & Tax
- Coordinate statutory audits across multiple countries.
- Support global tax compliance, including GST, TDS, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain compliance schedules and regulatory documentation.
- Support implementation of accounting standards and technical accounting matters.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Support ERP implementation and transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Develop SOPs and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to improve finance processes.
Team & Business Support
- Support Budget vs. Actual reporting with FP&A.;
- Train finance team members on accounting best practices and ERP processes.
- Improve finance SLAs and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- MBA (Finance) with strong accounting expertise will also be considered.
- CMA, CS, or other professional certifications are an advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working in global or multi-entity organizations.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Financial reporting
- Multi-currency accounting
- Consolidation
- Intercompany accounting
- Statutory audits
- Tax compliance
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS, and/or US GAAP.
- Experience working across multiple international jurisdictions is highly preferred.
Skills Required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modeling, data analysis).
- ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Unit4, or similar).
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in automation and process improvement.
