Primary English – Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and creative Primary English Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop, review, and improve English learning content for primary-grade students. The candidate should have strong English language skills, a positive understanding of the CBSE curriculum, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate, and competency-based learning resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and review English content aligned with the CBSE primary curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Create lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and supplementary learning resources.
- Develop age-appropriate content to improve students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills.
- Prepare engaging grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, phonics, and language-learning activities.
- Design competency-based and application-oriented questions and assessments.
- Develop reading comprehension passages, stories, poems, and creative writing activities.
- Review and edit textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, digital content, and assessment materials.
- Ensure content is grammatically accurate, age-appropriate, engaging, and pedagogically sound.
- Develop activities that promote communication skills, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.
- Identify common learning gaps and create suitable remedial and enrichment resources.
- Provide subject-matter guidance and academic support to teachers.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers, teachers, editors, illustrators, and academic teams.
- Review content for language accuracy, clarity, consistency, and age appropriateness.
- Support the development of digital and multimedia-based English learning resources.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum developments and modern English language teaching methodologies.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in English,



English Literature, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred.
- Additional qualifications in English language teaching, curriculum development, or educational content creation will be an advantage.

Experience

- Experience teaching Primary English in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development, textbook/content development, assessment creation, or teacher training will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with strong English language skills and relevant teaching experience may also be considered.

Salary

As per school/organization norms and based on qualification and experience.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
