Senior Counsellor / Counsellor Lead – Bangalore

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and target-oriented Senior Counsellor / Counsellor Lead to join our team in Bangalore.

The candidate will be responsible for student counselling, lead conversion, admissions, achieving individual admission targets, and supporting the overall counselling and admission performance of the branch.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, eligibility, fees, duration, and career pathways.
- Understand students' academic background, interests, and career objectives and recommend suitable courses.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, online enquiries, and other communication channels.
- Achieve assigned individual monthly admission targets.
- Take ownership of the complete lead-to-admission conversion process.
- Follow up consistently with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain and manage leads effectively to maximise conversion.
- Explain course details, eligibility, fees, duration, curriculum, and career opportunities clearly to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, counselling sessions, and admissions.
- Monitor pending leads and ensure timely follow-up to avoid loss of potential admissions.
- Handle student and parent objections and provide appropriate solutions to support conversion.
- Coordinate with the academic, marketing, and admissions teams for smooth admission operations.
- Participate in seminars, student outreach programmes, educational events, and promotional activities.
- Prepare regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions.
- Support the management in achieving the branch's overall admission objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and parents throughout the counselling and admission process.

Target & Performance





- Individual admission target achievement is a mandatory responsibility of this position.
- The candidate will be expected to achieve monthly admission targets assigned by the management.
- Performance will be evaluated based on lead follow-up, counselling effectiveness, conversion rate, and admission target achievement.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Consistent follow-up and proactive lead management are essential for achieving assigned targets.

Eligibility & Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in student counselling, admissions, educational sales, or a similar role is preferred.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, college, training institute, coaching centre, or EdTech organisation will be preferred.
- Experience in student counselling, admissions, tele-counselling, educational sales, or lead conversion is required.
- Excellent English and Hindi writing and speaking skills are mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi are required.
- Excellent counselling, convincing, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Strong ability to convert enquiries into admissions.
- Highly target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned targets.
- Positive knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM, and lead-management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly targets.
