About the Role

Gupta Jewellers is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily billing, inventory reconciliations, bank entries, and statutory compliance for our retail jewelry showroom. The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling accounts in retail or jewelry environments, strong proficiency in accounting software (TallyPrime/Marg/retail ERP), and a clear understanding of GST compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate retail sales invoices, estimate slips, and credit/debit notes ensuring correct metal rates, making charges, stone weights, and GST rates.
- Cash & Card Management: Reconcile daily cash counter balances, credit/debit card swipe reports, and UPI/digital payments with bank credits every evening.
- Inventory Accounting: Maintain physical-to-book stock balances for gold, diamond, and silver jewelry; reconcile daily sales against weight-based stock registers.
- Ledger & Bookkeeping: Record purchases (bullion, finished ornaments,



and hallmarking charges), vendor payments, overheads, and daily petty cash entries.
- Taxation & Compliance: Prepare data for monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), e-Way bills, and TDS calculations; assist the Chartered Accountant (CA) with quarterly/annual audits.
- Vendor & Customer Accounts: Manage karigar/artisan job-work registers (metal issued vs. received), track customer advance booking schemes, and follow up on credit balances.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of retail accounting experience (prior experience in a jewelry showroom or retail jewelry business is highly preferred).
- Software Skills: Hands-on expertise in TallyPrime, Marg ERP, or specialized jewelry ERP software; proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas, pivot tables).
- Tax Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of GST calculation for precious metals/stones, e-invoicing norms, and basic TDS.
- Core Competencies: High integrity, precision with decimal/weight figures, and strong communication skills for coordinating with store staff and vendors.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
